2019 Postgraduate programs of Wuhan University (Admission for International Applicants)
一、申请资格 Eligibility
1、身体健康、品行端正的外国公民。硕士申请者需具有与中国学士学位相当的学位，博士申请者需具有与中国硕士学位相当的学位。
Applicants should be healthy and well-behaved, having foreign citizenship. Applicants for Master’s degree programs should have undergraduate study background equivalent to Chinese Bachelor’s degree. Applicants for Doctoral programs should have Master study background equivalent to Chinese Master’s degree.
2、学习成绩优良，提供下列证明及材料(包括但不限于）:
Applicants should have good academic records, and the following documents need to be provided (including but not limited to):
2.1最高学历学校提供的官方成绩单（原件及中文或英文公证件）。
Transcripts from highest degree education institution(original /notarized copy in English or Chinese version).
2.2 个人陈述和简要的研究计划 (800字以内）， 博士专业申请者需要另外提交简要的研究经历
Personal statement and a brief research plan （800 words）. Doctoral Degree program applicants need to submit a brief introduction of research experience.
2.3 两份副教授或相应职称以上学者推荐信
Two recommendation letters from scholars who have title of associate professor or higher.
3. 汉语水平Chinese Language Requirements
3.1 理科学生达到HSK四级（含）以上，文科学生达到HSK五级（含）以上，可以直接进入专业学习。
HSK certificate level four or above is required for the applicants who would like to study in the programs of science and engineering（English medium medical majors included）; HSK level five is required for the applicants who would like to study in the programs of liberal arts.
3.2 汉语水平未达到要求者可以申请，但是需要汉语补习一年，方可进入专业院系学习；对于英语水平较高的博士申请者，可以适当放宽汉语水平要求。
For those applicants who do not reach the required Chinese language level, they could apply to study in Wuhan University, in the condition that they need to study Chinese language in Wuhan University for one year, then they could enter into major study. For doctoral program applicants, if the English is sufficient, the Chinese language requirement could be adjusted for some programs.
4. 英语水平English Language Requirements
母语非英语的英文授课项目申请者需提供英语水平证明，TOEFL需达到80分 , IELTS需达到 5.5。不能提供标准化英语测试证明的，需进行英语笔试或面试。
For applicants whose native language is not English and would like to apply to study in English taught programs, please provide score report of English Language test. TOEFL requires 80, IELTS requires 5.5. For those who could not offer the above mentioned standard English test results, additional oral or written English test organized by Wuhan University will be required to participate in.
5. 对原为中国公民，后加入外国国籍的申请者，我校按照“教育部教外来（2009）83号文执行”。
For those applicants who give up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens, the conditions set by Document No.83(2009) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met.
二、申请流程Application Procedures
1. 网上申请Online Application
请在报名开放时间内登录武汉大学国际学生申请系统，注册并登录后按要求真实、完整地填写《武汉大学外国留学生入学申请表》，并按照系统要求上传相关证明附件并交纳报名费 (详见附件一）。
Please log on the online application system at "Wuhan University International Students Service System " http://admission.whu.edu.cn within the application period.. After registration, please complete online the "Wuhan University Application Form for Foreign Scholars and Students" correctly and completely, and upload the supporting documents and pay the application fee as required ( Please see more details in attachment I : List of uploading document s in the online application system ).
2. 综合测评Comprehensive Evaluation
2.1材料评审Documents Review
对于按时提交申请及相关证明的申请人，申请材料完整真实，否则将视为不合格申请。
Applicants should submit all information and documents accurately and completely before the deadline for the evaluation by Wuhan University, otherwise, the application will be considered not qualified.
2.2 考核与面试Examination & Interview
通过材料评审的申请者进入面试环节，面试时间、方式将在后续通知。对于特别优秀的申请者，经过专家评审，可以免面试，予以录取。
Applicants who pass application document review will be admitted to the interview. The interview time and method will be informed in advance. Outstanding applicants recognized by Wuhan University will have the interview waived and get an offer directly.
申请英语授课临床医学专业学生，须参加医学部组织的面试，面试的时间将在后续通知。
Medical specialties applicants are required to participate in remote interviews held by Medical school of Wuhan University. The calendar of interviews would be announced by Medical school through email.
3. 录取Admission
武汉大学国际学生（研究生）的录取是根据有关院系及材料审核部门对申请者各项成绩、科研能力和其它资质证明材料、考核与面试成绩等综合评定。
Admission decision (postgraduate) is based on a comprehensive evaluation of performance in the university, research capability, and supporting documents as well as tests and interview ( if applicable).

四、学制与学位的颁发与授予 Duration, Degree & Diploma
武汉大学硕士学位学制2-3年，博士学位学制3-4年。课程采用中文教学（部分专业采用英文教学）。完成规定的教学计划，考核合格并通过毕业论文答辩，颁发硕士或博士毕业证书，经学位审查合格，授予硕士学位和博士学位。
Master’s degree programs are two to three years, and doctoral degree programs are three to four years. The Programs are mainly delivered in Chinese, with part of the programs taught in English. A certificate of graduation will be awarded to students who have met all graduation requirements. A master’s degree or doctoral degree will be awarded to students who have met the related requirements of degree conferment.

六、新生奖学金 Scholarships for New Students
1. 中国政府奖学金 Chinese Government Scholarship
请直接与中国驻当地使领馆联系和申请，申请时间为2019年3月-2019年4月（具体时间每个国家或许有不同）。中国政府奖学金的具体申请，请登录http://www.csc.edu.cn/, 如果申请武汉大学，请在申请学校中优先选择武汉大学(机构代码：10486），申请中国政府奖学金的学生亦须符合武汉大学国际学生申请资质要求。
The Chinese Government Scholarship application should be applied directly to the local Chinese Embassy or consulate. The application time is usually from March. 2019 to April 2019 ( varied from country to country). For the application of Chinese Government Scholarship, please visit http://www.csc.edu.cn/. The applicants should also meet the requirement mentioned above and put Wuhan University as the first priority （Institution Code: 10486） while applying online.
2. 孔子学院奖学金 Confucius Scholarship（详见http://www.hanban.edu.cn/）
For applicants who want to study Chinese Language or Chinese Literature, the Confucius Scholarship is available, please visit http://www.hanban.edu.cn/ for application.
3. 商务部援外学历学位项目奖学金(Ministry of Commerce Scholarship)
商务部设立援外学历学位教育项目“国际法和中国法硕士项目（武汉大学）”和“援外高级学历学位教育专项计划”。该项目计划重点资助受援国中青年友华人士来华攻读硕士或博士学历学位,请直接与中国驻当地使馆经商处联系和申请，具体申请要求详见http://www.admission.whu.edu.cn and http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua
Applicants who want to study in Master program of Chinese Law and International Law(English medium) or other graduate programs, please apply for "Ministry of Commerce Scholarship", which is set up by Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China to further strengthen the communication and cooperation between China and other countries as well as to develop talents for developing countries. Applicants shall apply to the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office （ECCO）of the Chinese Embassy in your country. 七、申请、录取时间 Application & Admission Period

申请时间为2019年2月18日-2019年6月20日。
Application time start from Feb 18,2019 to June 20, 2019.

2. 录取时间Admission Period
学校将根据学生申请及面试情况，分批次录取，具体请查阅http://admission.edu.edu.cn网站信息。
Based on overall evaluation of the document and interview of the applicants, Wuhan University will issue the admission results at the website of http://admission.edu.edu.cn.
注明： 申请中国政府奖学金、孔子学院奖学金、商务部奖学金，请查阅相应网站公布时间
Notice: For applicants who applied Chinese Government Scholarships， Confucius Scholarship and "Scholarship of Ministry of Commerce", please check its related online application system to get admission results.
八、签证申请及入学报到 Visa application and Registration
8.1 签证申请visa application
被录取者应提交普通护照、录取文件中的《录取通知书》、《外国来华留学人员签证申请表》、《外国人体格检查记录》及所有体格检查（含血检）报告，在入境前根据其学习期限向中国驻其国籍国或居住地国使领馆或中国外交部委托的其他驻外机构申请办理学生（X1字或X2）字签证。所有材料需由武汉大学出具或经中国教育主管部门备案。
注明：被录取者如果不持学生签证入境，武汉大学将不能为其注册。
Admitted applicants should bring passport, Admission Letter, Visa Application Form (JW202/201), Physical Examination Record Form as well as Blood Test Record to the local Chinese Embassy/Consulate or other official missions authorized by Diplomatic Ministry of China to apply for a student visa (X1 visa or X2 visa). All documents should be issued by Wuhan University or filed with Chinese education authorities.
Notice: If applicants who got admitted fail to get students visa (X1,X2), will not be registered at Wuhan University.
8.2 国际学生新生注册报到时间2019年9月1日， 如有变化，请看新生录取通知书。
The registration time for new students will be from Sept 1, 2019.
8.3报到时需携齐全的报到材料，包括个人普通护照原件（不接受外交护照和因公护照）、录取通知书及签证申请表原件（JW202/JW201）及入境学生签证。新生入学时须携带所要求的学位证原件供学校复核入学资格。不符合入学条件者，取消入学资格。
For registration at Wuhan University, the admitted students should bring their personal and ordinary passport (diplomatic passport and business passport will not be accepted), Admission notice, Visa Application Form (JW202/JW201) ,and student visa. Original documents of degree or diploma should be provided for recheck before the official registration, otherwise, the admission will be considered invalid.
九、住宿 Accommodation
国际教育学院将为在规定时间注册报到的新生安排校内住宿。
Wuhan University International Educational School will reserve rooms for new students who register within requested registration time.
