一、申请资格 Eligibility
1. 申请者应为非中国籍公民，且符合教育部教外函〔2020〕12号文件要求。申请人身心健康，愿意遵守中国的法律法规及武汉大学规章制度。
The applicants shall be non-Chinese citizen, and meet the requirements of JWH [2020] No. 12 Document of the Education Ministry of China. The applicants shall be physically and mentally healthy and willing to abide by the laws and regulations of China and the regulations of Wuhan University.
2. 申请者年龄为18至25岁，年龄计算按入学当年9月1日为准；仍未满18周岁的申请人，须在申请时提交监护人保证书。
Applicants should be between 18 and 25 years old as of September 1st, 2023. Applicants who are under the age of 18 shall submit a guarantee letter from his/her guardians in China when applying.
3. 语言能力
申请中文授课者，汉语水平须达到新HSK4级180分（含）以上。母语为汉语或高中阶段使用汉语授课的申请者，经我校认定，可免除提供HSK成绩。
申请英文授课者，英语水平需达TOEFL80+，TOEFL Essential8+或IELTS6.0+。母语为英语或上一学历使用英语授课的申请者，经我校认定，可免除提供TOEFL、IELTS成绩。

Applicants for Chinese-taught programs shall hold the new HSK4 certificate (with scores of 180+). Applicants whose mother tongue is Chinese or been taught in Chinese in high school can be exempted from HSK certificate if certified by Wuhan University.
Applicants for English-taught programs shall hold a TOEFL 80+, TOEFL Essential 8+or IELTS 6.0+ certificate. Applicants whose mother tongue is English or have previous degrees in English can be exempted from TOEFL, TOEFL Essential and IELTS certificate if certified by Wuhan University.

4. 华裔学习背景要求 Study Requirements for Ethnic Chinese
父母双方或一方为中国公民或申请者本人从中国大陆（内地）、香港、澳门和台湾移民外国后取得外国国籍的，根据中华人民共和国教育部教外函〔2020〕12 号文，须入籍4年（含）以上，且最近 4 年（截至2023年 4 月 30 日前）之内有在外国实际居住 2 年以上的记录。（一年中实际在外国居住满9个月可按照一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）。
If the applicant’s parents are or one of the parents is Chinese, or the applicant has emigrated from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and acquired foreign nationality, according to the No.12 Announcement of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (2020), they shall be naturalized for 4 years or more (before April 30, 2023) and have more than 2 years of residence in foreign countries during this period (The actual residence in a foreign country for more than 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to the entry and exit stamps).
出生在国外的申请者，也需符合上述要求，并提交个人出生证明和父母国籍材料。
Applicants born in foreign countries are required to meet the above criteria, and provide personal birth certificates and parents' nationality certificates.
二、申请流程Application Procedures
1. 在线申请Online Application

Create your account in the online application system: http://admission.whu.edu.cn.
l 在线填写申请表并提交申请材料
Complete the application form and upload the documents as required.
2. 提交申请材料Application Documents Submission
l 护照首页及来华签证页（如有）
Copy of passport home page and copy of the visa issued by Chinese embassies (if available)
l 高中学历证明或预毕业证明（中文或英文）
Diploma of high school education or proof of impending graduation (in Chinese or English)
l 高中成绩单（中文或英文）
High school transcripts (in Chinese or English)
l HSK考试成绩（仅限汉语授课项目）
Report of HSK (Chinese medium programs only)
l 个人经济能力证明或经济担保证明（5000美元或以上）
Financial Certification/Bank Statement (5000USD or above).
l 托福或雅思等英语水平证明（仅限英文授课项目）
Report of English language test, e.g. TOEFL/TOEFL Essential/IELTS/others. (English medium programs only)
l 已在中国境内并有在华学习经历的申请者需提供前学习院校开据的在校表现情况说明。
Candidates who have any learning experiences in China should provide evidence of their academic performance from their previous institutions.
l 6个月内体检报告，入学注册报到时必须提交原件。
Physical examination report within 6 months, the original report should be submitted upon registration.
l 材料初审通过后7日内网上交纳报名费800人民币，网址http://admission.whu.edu.cn, 网上支付约合111美元。（不退还）
Application fee of 800RMB / 111USD shall be paid within 7 days through http://admission.whu.edu.cn for online payment. (non-refundable)
注：申请者在网上提交所有申请材料的扫描件。所有申请材料需为中文或英文，或中英文翻译件的公证件。报到注册时需提供所有材料原件以供审核。
Note：Applicants are required to submit scanned copies of all required documents during application. All uploaded documents should be in Chinese or English; otherwise, notarized translations in Chinese or English are required. The original documents and notarized translations are to be submitted upon registration.
3. 面试与笔试Interview & Examination
通过材料评审的申请者进入面试和笔试环节。面试和笔试时间、方式在材料评审后以邮件形式通知。对于特别优秀的申请者，经过专家评审，可以免于面试。
Applicants who pass the application document review will enter the interview and entrance exam stage. The time and mode for interview and exam will be informed via email. Outstanding applicants recognized by Wuhan University will be exempted from the interview.
三、申请、录取、报到时间 Application，Admission & Registration Period for Applicants
1. 自费生申请时间Application Period
春季学期入学：2022年10月1日至2022年12月30日。
Application for spring semester is between Oct 1，2022 and Dec 30，2022.
秋季学期入学：2022年12月1日至2023年6月5日。
Application for autumn semester is between December 1，2022 and June 5，2023.
次年春季学期入学：2023年10月1日至2023年12月30日。
Application for next spring semester is between Oct 1，2023 and Dec 30，2023.
2. 自费生录取时间Admission Period
学校将根据学生申请及面试情况,分批次公布录取结果。具体请查阅http://admission.whu.edu.cn网站信息。
Based on overall evaluation of the document and interview of the applicants, Wuhan University will issue the admission results by batch. Please check the admission result at the website http://admission.whu.edu.cn .
3. 报到时间Registration Period
来华留学生新生注册报到时间为每年8月至9月，具体请看录取通知书。
The usual registration period for international students is from August to September. Please check the Admission Notice for exact registration time.
报到时需携齐全的报到材料，包括个人普通护照原件（不接受外交护照和因公护照）、录取通知书、签证申请表原件（JW202/JW201）及入境学生签证。新生入学时须携带所要求的中文或英文学位证和成绩单原件或公证件原件供学校复核入学资格。不符合入学条件者，取消入学资格。
When registering at Wuhan University, the admitted students should provide their ordinary passport (diplomatic passport and service passport will not be accepted), Admission Notice, Visa Application Form (JW202/JW201) and student visa. Original or notarized diploma or transcripts of their previous study in English or Chinese should also be provided for review during the official registration. Otherwise, the admission will be considered invalid.
4、奖学金生申请、录取时间

四、签证申请Visa Application
被录取者应持普通护照、录取文件中的录取通知书、外国来华留学人员签证申请表、外国人体格检查记录及所有体格检查（含血检）报告，在入境前根据其学习期限向中国驻其国籍国或居住地国使领馆或中国外交部委托的其他驻外机构申请办理学生（X1字或X2字）签证。
Admitted applicants shall bring their passport, Admission Notice, Visa Application Form (JW202/201), Physical Examination Record Form as well as all physical examination reports including Blood Test Record to the local Chinese Embassy/Consulate or other official agencies authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China to apply for a student visa (X1/X2 visa).
注明：被录取者如果不持学生签证入境，武汉大学将不能为其注册。
Notice: If admitted applicants hold other types of visas rather than student visa (X1/X2 visa), they will not be registered at Wuhan University.
特殊情况期间，已在华学习的申请者获得录取通知书后，可持已有签证进行学习。
Under special circumstances, students who are already in China can study in Wuhan University with their current visa.
五、住宿 Accommodation
国际教育学院将为在规定时间内报到注册的新生安排校内住宿。
The School of International Education will arrange on-campus accommodation for new students who register within the specified period.
六、学制、学位的颁发与授予Schooling Length and Awarding of Degree
武汉大学本科学制为四年到六年，主要采用中文教学，部分专业采用英文教学，具体参见“附件一：武汉大学来华留学本科招生专业（中文授课）”。完成规定的教学计划，考核合格并通过毕业论文答辩，颁发本科毕业证书，经学位审查合格，授予学士学位。
The duration for undergraduate programs in Wuhan University is 4 to 6 years. Most of the programs are taught in Chinese and a few in English. For details please check “AttachmentⅠ: Undergraduate Programs Available to International Applicants to Wuhan University (Chinese-taught)”. Graduation certificate and bachelor's degree will be awarded if students complete all the required courses and pass the thesis defense.
